I/Thou

Theory

The I/Thou barrier separates us from God and separates us one from another and prevents Love from flowing... The thing in you that says 'I want' or 'Do it my way' or 'I am better than you' separates us from God and alienates us one from another.

Jesus said we are one in Him. If Christ is in me, and I am in Christ; and Christ is in you, and you are in Christ, then it follows that you are in me and I am in you... We are one. At the emotional level this is a nice warm fuzzy thought. But I wonder, if I were in the presence of God, if I would understand this any differently?? Would it change my relationships??

Practice

Find a quiet place. Get in the presence of God. Open your spirit to Him. Ask Him to search you, and to find the barriers that prevent His Love from flowing out of your heart. Offer your barriers to Him for crucifixion. Wait for His answer. Keep this thought on your heart as you are walking around. Especially when you deal with others.

Foundation

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

John 15:4-5 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
