When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Forgiveness is evidence of our spiritual adulthood. Forgiveness is our adult forgiving the child in others. Forgiveness is a side effect of God's Love flowing out of our hearts. And forgiveness is a choice. We can choose to forgive. Or not.

Unforgiveness blocks Love from God to us. Unforgiveness blocks our prayers. Unforgiveness isolates us from our friends and neighbors. I suspect that unforgiveness festers in us and emerges as physical or emotional problems. Ask the Lord who you need to forgive, then find them and ask for their forgiveness.

Don't forget to forgive yourself. God has already forgiven you for everything you have ever done or will do.

Disengage your rational mind and get into the mind of your heart. Locate His presence. The Jesus prayer is appropriate here. 'Lord have mercy on me a sinner'. Wait for His answer. If you journal, write it down.

Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.

Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
